Light laser rifle
A Light Laser Rifle shares the same damage, power usage, and range as the "standard" laser rifle, but cannot channel as much energy. It is therefore limited to a setting of 10 SEU/shot or less. In addition, if set to 5 SEU or more, the rate-of-fire is reduced to 1 per turn to avoid overheating. They are, however, slightly cheaper than standard ones, and a little simpler to maintain (+15% to any repair check).
The term "light" refers to rifle's damage potential. They are slightly bulkier than normal laser rifles, based as they are on older technology.
