Rupert's Hole

Rupert's Hole is one of two habitable planets (the other being Triad) in the Cassidine system.  It is predominantly inhabited by Humans.  It is moderately populated and is know for its industry and agriculture.  Gravity is 0.9 and the day is 20 GST hours long.  A UPF Armed Space Station and a Trading Station orbit the planet.  No moons orbit Rupert's Hole.

Rupert's Hole was first discovered in the early years of the Frontier and was first used as a mining colony by Pan Galactic. Cassadine Development Corporation, CDC, began the terraforming of Rupert's Hole after it was abandoned as a mining colony by Pan Galactic, early in the megacorp's history. The planet was very receptive to the terraforming efforts. When it was discovered that the ground was a fertile treasure just waiting to be taken advantage of and it wasn't long until CDC had a strong hold on Rupert's Hole. It became one of the primary sources of food and agricultural industry in the Frontier.

Government: CyberDemocracy. Every six months the entire population of Rupert's Hole votes on any new legislation. Because of this majority rule, the general population is content to have no privacy for the protection it provides.
Law: (CR 2/6) Any weapon may be carried. Public policy is enforced mainly by constant computer surveilence. Cameras and satellites watch nearly every bit of the planet. Police forces may be slow to respond as they are generally alerted to trouble by the sophisitcated automated surveilence network, but with nearly all actions recorded, there is generally little doubt as to who is responsible for wrong-doing. Murder, theft, etc. are all of course illegal, despite free weapon policies. Appeals are possible, but if an appeal is lost the punishment is doubled.
