Sand Sharks are desert-dwelling predators native to the planet Volturnus, in the Zebulon system.[1]

Physical Description[edit | edit source]

Sand sharks are burrowing creature roughly 3 meters long. has a wedge-shaped head, thick, abrasive, leathery hide and twelve pairs of short legs. They have no eyes and detect things by vibration, and smell through two rows of sensory organs and two sensory pits in the head. Their large mouths are filled with three rows of jagged teeth.

Movement[edit | edit source]

Sand sharks burrow just beneath the surface of the sand, leaving tell-tale ripples in their wake. They cross rocky areas by slithering across the surface, but their movement rate is reduced to Slow.

Attacks and Defenses[edit | edit source]

Sand sharks reveal themselves by erupting at the feet of their targets, which they attack by biting.

A sand shark burrowing beneath the sand is immune to all wepaons save explosives, and even those will only do half damage.
